Eleanor Moore Cert CII, Private Clients Director at C&C Insurance Brokers has become the President of the Manchester Insurance Institute.
Eleanor, who has worked within insurance since 1992, has been involved with the institute for over 9 years and in that time has fulfilled many important roles from Treasurer to Deputy President. Being promoted to President for the term 2020-2021 will be a challenging but rewarding task as the Institute moves forward in these current uncertain times. Eleanor said
It is a real privilege and an honour to become the President of the Insurance
“Institute of Manchester for the period 2020-2021. Recent times have been very difficult, unprecedented and emotional for our industry and the Manchester Institute is striving to provide the right support in all areas such as Continuous Professional Development and mental health awareness and support. Some of my main goals for the year include increasing engagement with our members, extending our CPD offering and also further interactions with schools and colleges to promote the insurance industry as a career.
“I would like to thank each and every volunteer for everything that they do and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve over the coming year.”
Having worked at Stockport based C&C Insurance Brokers for 15 years, her colleagues agree that she is the right person to step up and make the next year a successful one for the Institute.
Malcolm Cooke, Managing Director at C&C Insurance Brokers commented:
Becoming President is a great honour and I’d like to congratulate Eleanor on her achievement. We are very proud of Eleanor’s achievements within the Institute and we are confident she will make an impact in her time as President. We wish her all the best in her new role.”
This year will go down in history as the first time the President of the Institute was inaugurated in a virtual ceremony, a first in over 140 years of the Manchester Insurance Institute and a telling moment of the current times.
The Manchester Insurance Institute is the oldest Institute in the country and one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking. Supported by over 60 volunteers, they provide a comprehensive CPD programme, provide exams and exam support, offer mentoring and leadership programmes and have a varied and exciting social events calendar, ranging from the quiz to the flagship annual dinner.?
