Manchester Airport is set to launch its biggest ever trade incentive to mark its forthcoming 80th birthday.
The UK’s global gateway in the North is offering travel agents who book flights and holidays from Manchester the chance to win one of five Minis and 250 bottles of champagne.
Agents will be divided into five areas – Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Birmingham and above, and below Birmingham, with one Mini up for grabs in each location. One booking from Manchester Airport will equal one entry into the incentive.
Patrick Alexander, Head of Marketing at Manchester Airport, said:
“To mark our 80th birthday we wanted to do something very special which is why we’re launching our biggest ever trade incentive to mark the occasion.
“Travel agents are hugely important to the airport and we appreciate every booking they make for travel through the airport.
“What better way to celebrate our eightieth birthday and to reward all of the hardworking agents that sell Manchester Airport.”
Manchester Airport is the UK’s third largest, and on Saturday June 25th 1938, it was officially opened by an air display from the Royal Air Force by the command of Sir Kingsley Wood, his Majesty’s Secretary of State for Air. Operations began two days later and in the first 12 months, the airport handled 7,600 passengers, fast forward to now and it handles more than 27 million a year.
The incentive will be live from 17 November 2017 to 16 November 2018. For more information and to register for the incentive, visit www.manchesterairport.co.uk/travel-trade
