Manchester Airport is taking part in National Customer Services Week next week including giving away Concorde tours.
The week is an initiative organised by The Institute of Customer Service and the airport aims to highlight the great work its Customer Service team does to get its 24.6m annual passengers in the air, and on their holidays.
Passengers will be able to enjoy a range of activity including free umbrellas being given out in arrivals to beat the typical Manchester rain after their holiday.
Random acts of kindness including ticket giveaways to the Escape Lounge and Concorde tours at the Runway Visitor Park, plus a customer feedback “Graffiti Wall” will be set up for passengers to have their say and share their thoughts.
Collette Roche, Manchester Airport’s Deputy Managing Director, said: “What the public may not know is a great deal of work and commitment from our Customer Services team takes place behind the scenes every day, to ensure passengers have the best airport experience as possible.
“National Customer Service Week is a great way to lift the lid on some of that activity and for passengers to see first-hand the great work our terminal teams do on a daily basis.
“Enhancing the customer journey is a key objective here at Manchester Airport and as we continue to grow we will continue to invest, ensuring passengers get excellent service throughout the airport.”
The terminal activity will be backed up with a host of information being available on social media such as meet the Customer Services team through Facebook and Twitter, and a day in the life of the car parks team with live, real time content.
Organised by The Institute of Customer Service, National Customer Services Week runs from October 3-7.
It is a week-long opportunity to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the UK economy.
