Manchester Airports Group (MAG) has appointed the partners that will deliver on its Airfield Infrastructure Framework across Manchester, London Stansted and East Midlands airports.
The framework will support MAG across its three sites over the next five to eight years to deliver on the airport operator’s airfield development programmes. Continued investment in the group’s airport infrastructure covered by the Framework include airfield improvement works, as well as runway resurfacing, aircraft stand development, and airfield ground lighting systems.
The Framework currently includes a number of strategic suppliers, made up of leading design consultants and specialist contractors. It aims to create long-term partnerships that will support MAG’s capital development and improve and enhance passenger experience, as well as progress the airport’s sustainability targets. The appointed suppliers are:
- Ove Arup and Partners
- Jacobs
- Volker Fitzpatrick
- Lagan Aviation & Infrastructure
- Dyer & Butler
- Allied Infrastructure
- Amalgamated Construction Ltd
Terry Fitzmaurice, MAG Procurement and Contracts Director said:
“This new Framework will foster a more collaborative relationship between MAG and its designers and contractors, which will help MAG meet its capital investment projects across all three airports.
“Working more closely with our newly appointed partners will also help MAG meet its sustainability targets – including net zero operations by 2038 – through more sustainable supply chain practices.
“We are pleased to have appointed a number of partners already, and look forward to seeking opportunities to work with them on projects across the Group.”
