Life Leisure are hosting a charity event this Friday 13th May at the H1VE Boutique Fitness studio in Woodley to collectively burn 40,000 calories in aid of The British Red Cross Ukraine Fund.
Across three sessions at the H1VE studio at Life Leisure’s Woodley centre, participants of all levels of fitness are invited try out a session as expert coaches lead an epic calorie burning challenge. Drinks and a live DJ will also be on hand between sessions, when those attending can also make charitable donations.
Life Leisure are hoping to burn a collective 40,000 calories throughout the fundraiser. Participants can either use a MyZone strap or another form of wearable that counts calories (Fitbit, Apple Watch, etc.) and use a QR code to have them displayed in the studio to keep a live totally on show throughout the day.
Those interested in taking part can book via the Life Leisure Eventbrite page and either make a small donation on arrival or through their online page in aid of The British Red Cross Ukraine Fund.
Why Ukraine and the British Red Cross?
Ukraine has faced almost eight years of conflict. With recent events, they want to be there for everyone who needs them.
So far, Red Cross teams in Ukraine have distributed over 90,000 food and hygiene parcels and provided food, warm clothes, and other aid to around 7,000 people sheltering in metro stations in Kyiv. First aid training has also been delivered to over 12,000 people taking cover in metro stations and bomb shelters, so they have the skills to treat their loved ones if needed. Red Cross teams in bordering countries are offering medical care and providing food, aid, and shelter to people arriving from Ukraine.

H1VE is a boutique fitness studio located at Stockport Sports Village in Woodley.
