The launch event for the ‘Royal Connections’ website scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 16th January, has had to be put on hold due to a problem with the venue.
Stockport-based Dylan Moore launched the new website with “royal connections” after getting approval from the Dragon’s Den Theo Paphitis.
The Royal Connection’s founder, Dylan Moore, was inspired to help other businesses after his own company was recognised by former Dragons’ Den star Theo Paphitis. Dylan’s Aqua Design Group, based on Wellington Road South in Stockport, was chosen by Theo for his Small Business Sunday accolade in 2011. Small Business Sunday, shortened to SBS on Twitter, is a weekly initiative where Theo invites small and medium-sized businesses to send him a tweet about their business on a Sunday evening. He then selects his favourite six and retweets their messages to his 450,000-plus followers. Winners are also invited to an annual SBS event, hosted by Theo Paphitis himself.
“The Royal Connection started as a bit of fun back in 2012 when everyone was in the mood for a royal party,” explained Dylan Moore. “I’d been lucky enough to benefit from Theo’s support and thought I could do the same for other business owners. I’m thrilled with how successful it’s been and how many companies we’ve been able to help by increasing their Twitter followers, generating publicity and ultimately driving sales.”
