Stockport College’s latest teaching recruit is Lizzie Stavrou, who will be familiar for her TV roles.
Lizzie, who has appeared in Coronation Street, Doctors and the new Cold Feet, is currently working with Debut Arts Academy at the college.
She is trained in musical theatre at the prestigious Arts Educational School London, followed by a career in TV and film, and on the West End stage including Dirty Dancing and Jesus Christ Super Star.
A college spokesman said: “Lizzie is teaching the students at Stockport College a range of acting methods and covering a variety of mediums and techniques with a focus on acting for screen.
“Most of the sessions that Lizzie runs involve working on TV scripts from current or recent TV productions, of which she boasts a wealth of first-hand knowledge from.
“Many of the talents of the staff at Debut Arts move beyond television, choreographing or dancing with the likes of Cheryl Cole, Whitney Houston and Ellie Goulding, to working with renowned athletes such as the Great British Acrobatic Team.
“On stage or behind the scenes, our renowned performing arts courses you offer you all the skills you need to be able to work in theatre, television, film or commercials.
“With past students including BAFTA winner Daniel Rigby and Coronation Street actor Dean Fagan, our alumni are equally famous.”
