Below is a list of the latest roadworks in Stockport taking place from this weekend into next month and affecting pedestrians and drivers around Stockport.
- Stockport Council will be carrying out footway improvements to Milford Grove in Offerton. The work is due to start on 13th January and is expected to take approximately four weeks to complete and will be carried out Monday to Friday. Access to properties will be maintained where possible but may be restricted for certain periods as the work progress.
- Stockport Council is carrying out works to improve the cycle route on the A34 Kingsway in Cheadle, from the Barnes entrance heading north past the slip road. The work requires the use of a lane closure on the A34 southbound side which will be place until 16th February.
- Stockport Council is carrying out footway repairs on Keston Crescent. The work is expected to take place and be completed later this week. Access to properties will be maintained where possible but may be restricted for certain periods as the work progress.
- National Grid Gas is carrying out works to repair a gas leak on Strines Road in Strines, at the junction with Station Road. The works will require the use of temporary three-way signals from Saturday 11th to Monday 13th January. Due to the close proximity with the proposed temporary lights to those currently in place across the boundary for the Cheshire East Council works on Strines Road, the two sites will be combined under one set of temporary lights which will extend to cover the whole of the National Grid Gas works.
- TfGM will be carrying out work on Tiviot Way in Heaton Norris, approximately 100m northbound from the junction with Water Street. These works will require the use of two-way signals and will be in place on Sunday 12th January.
