Below is a list of the latest roadworks in Stockport:
- Stockport Council will be undertaking drainage repairs and improvement works at the junctions of Church Road and Waterside in Marple, from 27th to 30th August. This will include excavation works on the carriageway, which will require the use of two-way signals on Church Road, along with a road closure on Waterside both for the duration of the works. Diversion routes will be in place via Church Lane/Bramham Road/Thornholme Road/Waterside.
- Stockport Council is currently carrying out waterproofing works on Poise Bridge, Offerton Road in Hazel Grove, between the junctions with Sanderling Road and Brinkburn Road. This includes excavation works on the carriageway which will require the use of two-way signals and will be in place for the duration of the works. However, the signals will be manned during peak times in the morning and afternoon. The works are due to be completed by 30th August. Also, there will be a road closure on the Bank Holiday Weekend from 24th to 26th August. Diversion routes will be in place via Marple Road, Offerton Road, Hall Street, St Marys Way and Buxton Road.
- Transport for Greater Manchester will be carrying out work to repair the traffic signal detector loops on the carriageway on Ashton Road in Bredbury at the junction with Whitefield Road. These works require the use of multi-way signals and will take place on Sunday 1st September, starting at 8.00am and taking approximately 6 hours.
- United Utilities will be undertaking works to clean and survey the sewer on Hulme Hall Road, in Cheadle Hulme at the junction with Claremont Road and Upton Avenue. These works require the use of multi-way signals and the works will take place on 8th August.
- National Grid Gas will be carrying out work to relay a gas service to a property on Gorsey Brow in Romiley. These works require the use of two-way signals and will take place from 21st to 28th August. The signals will be manned between 8.00am and 5.30pm.
