Kast’s pledge is to introduce and educate as many business and individuals to the best methods of reducing energy consumption and reducing their carbon footprint.
Attending the event was a great way to showcase our innovative thinking and product development. We had a lot of interest in our new electric TT bike charging station and met with many specialists and leaders from sustainable energy sectors.
Kes Scott, Managing Director
Kast showcased their new solar charging unit for Isle of Man Electric TT Bike series.
The Summit was a culmination of consultation in the run up to and following the inaugural Green Summit in March 2018 – this event will set out an environmental vision to achieve a carbon neutrality date and launch the pathway for the next five years and beyond.
The event provided the opportunity for people to speak to experts in the sector, to gain inspiration from peers and to find out what you can do as an individual, business and organisation to play your part in Greater Manchester’s climate change plans.
Andy said:
“This is a job for us all, businesses, community organisations, and citizens old and young. We all need to take action now, both individually and collectively, to deliver our aspirations.
“The 2018 Green Summit proved to me that Greater Manchester really cares about our environment and how our future will affect the next generation. Next year I would like to declare the date when the region will become carbon neutral and climate resilient, an ambition which will challenge us all.”
Alex Ganotis, leader of Stockport Council and Green City Region lead added:
“By taking action now, we can ensure that we put in place those measures which will make the most impact, provide people with green growth opportunities and prepare the region for a cleaner, greener future.”
