Stockport Market is brimming with festive cheer this Christmas, with great shopping, fun events and gourmet delights kicking off this weekend!
The fun starts with a ‘Splendour of Santas’ on Friday 29 November. The Market will be jam-packed with santas, as market traders dress up to launch the festive season in style. The festivities continue later on with Foodie Friday from 5-9pm, offering the very best in street food and live entertainment.
Saturday 30 November will see
traders from the Teenage Market
selling their wares in a Christmas
marquee, as well as craft traders,
gourmet goodies, festive baked
goods and decadent chocolates.
FREE mulled wine and mince pies
will be on offer for all customers
who buy something from the
market.
Shoppers are invited to ‘Have
Yourself a Very Vintage
Christmas’ from Friday 6 –
Sunday 8 December.
The Vintage Village will be hosting a three-day vintage extravaganza in a marquee, expanding into the Covered Market for the ‘Merry Little Christmas’ fair on Sunday 8 December. Antique furniture, home wares, clothing and accessories are just some of the gems on offer.
The Market Place will be in bloom on Saturday 14 December, with flower arranging demonstrations at nearby Stockport Story Museum and festive floral decorations on sale in the market. The Handmade Market will be taking over the Market Hall on Sunday 15 December with handmade, original and unique Christmas gift ideas.
For all those last minute shoppers, the Market will be open until 7pm on Friday 20 December and the accompanying Foodie Friday will run until 9pm. The market is also open every day from Saturday 21 – Tuesday 24 December, including a Christmas Teenage Market on Sunday 22 December.
