Stockport accountancy firm, IN Accountancy, has rebranded as Cowgills, part of the Sumer Group, following its acquisition earlier this year.
Cowgills signage will replace the IN Accountancy branding on the firm’s offices at Rhino Court, Hazel Grove. The IN Accountancy website will also be retired by the end of the year, and replaced with a dedicated Stockport page on the Cowgills’ website.
The existing team will continue to look after clients, and also include four additional new hires since the acquisition in April, including two experienced part-qualified accountants and two new trainees. The firm is also expecting an additional admin support colleague to join the Stockport office in October, and is planning to grow further, actively recruiting for a manager or assistant manager to join the Tax Advisory team.
For clients, the rebrand will see some administrative changes, including new Cowgills email addresses for contacts, although IN Accountancy email address will continue to reach the team’s inboxes. Invoices will also come from a new system, although bank details will not change at present. The firm advises that if anything about an invoice or payment details does not look right, to contact the office before payment.
Over the coming weeks, the firm will also be sending out new engagement letters and update HMRC agent authorisations so it can continue to speak to HMRC on clients behalf.
In a communication to clients about the rebrand and acquisition by Cowgills, part of the Sumer Group, IN Accountancy’s Sarah Harkness, said:
“When we decided to join Cowgills, the most important thing was finding people we could trust with our team and with you, our clients. After working closely with the wider Cowgills team for six months, I’m happy to say we still feel we’ve found the right partner.”
