Having successfully delivered the annual DFS Conference in 2013 and 2014, fresh were asked to produce DFS’s high-profile charity dinner in aid of BBC Children in Need and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Hosted at the historic Tower of London, this exclusive event treated 200 VIPs, partners and media to an evening fit for royalty. Guests were greeted by Yeoman Warders on entry and had an exclusive private tour of the Crown Jewels before enjoying a champagne reception and canapés at the White Tower.
A special royal appearance was made by HRH The Earl of Wessex KG GCVO, who addressed guests on the work of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in his role as trustee of his father, The Duke.
Guests were then treated to an intimate musical performance from opera singer (and Silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award holder!) Katherine Jenkins OBE, before a luxury three course meal served in the New Armouries.
The evening was hosted by comedian and satirist Jon Culshaw, who entertained the audience with a series of celebrity impressions. A silent charity auction took place during dinner, followed by a live auction hosted by Allsop’s Duncan Moir.
Following the main event, guests were treated to a lively afterparty at local nightspot Mary Janes, featuring a champagne reception and live music from soul band Sway.
Laura Taylor, Group Account Director at fresh, says “With a fully joined-up approach across all of the divisions, fresh meticulously planned and delivered a charity event fit for royalty. From the initial creative strategy to the technical production, digital, print and much more, the whole fresh team worked in partnership with DFS to de- liver an event of the highest quality. We feel extremely proud to have been involved in an event for such a great cause”.
Andrew Stephenson, HR Director at DFS says “This was such an important and worthwhile event for DFS and so it was essential that everything ran to perfection. The fresh team once again delivered a fantastic event for us and we are extremely happy with our ongoing working partnership”.
The six figure sum raised would add to the DFS total for charity this year which is in excess of £3million
