A development of homes in Cheadle has been named as a finalist in two national housing awards.
The modular homes in Willow Close, Cheadle are part of the Cross Keys Development by the Viaduct Housing Partnership, on behalf of Stockport Council.
The Inside Housing ‘Development Awards’ have named the development a finalist in ‘Modular Development of the Year’, whilst 24 Housing Magazine have named Cross Keys as ‘Affordable Housing Scheme of the year”.
The winners of the 24 Housing awards will be announced during October, and the Inside Housing awards during November.
Councillor Sheila Bailey, Executive Councillor for Communities and Housing at Stockport Council said,
“Viaduct Housing Partnership is proud to be delivering more much needed homes in Cheadle and across Stockport. We are also very pleased to have been recognised in national awards for using innovative construction methods.”
Building these homes in a factory reduces construction waste and eliminates delays due to adverse weather. The units arrived on site with fully fitted kitchens and bathrooms.
Chair of the Viaduct Housing Partnership board Ken Lee said,
“These innovative new homes are a clear demonstration of our commitment to building quality homes and this development has delivered 14 family houses in an area of high demand.”
Viaduct Housing Partnership is a development partnership between Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Stockport Homes Group, founded in 2017.
