The design plays to The Hesketh’s strengths by retaining and enhancing its traditional features. These were married with new features such as worn leather and an earthy colour scheme, inspired by the historical public houses of London.
The extensive refurbishment played to the pub’s strengths by retaining and enhancing tradition features and marrying these with new features such as worn leather and an earthy colour scheme. The business now expects to increase its turnover by 30 per cent over the next year and has created 30 new jobs.
James Almond, Company Director at Almond Family Pubs, said:
“The Hesketh is well-loved by its regulars and has enjoyed ongoing success in the 11 years we have held its reigns. However, it needed a sparkle as some of the once contemporary elements had become dated even though the traditional features had only grown in charm. With the financial backing from HSBC, we are redefining The Hesketh as an exceptional food pub in Cheshire.”
Sam Roden, HSBC’s Greater Manchester Area Director, said:
“The Hesketh is a great pub and a Cheadle Hulme institution for a wide range of customers. We look forward to seeing Almond Family Pubs continue to strengthen its portfolio of pubs, win industry awards and create local jobs.”
The Hesketh is co-owned by Almond Family Pubs and Star Pubs and Bars.
