Summer is nearly here and for Stockport’s leading family music and entertainment event that means a return to 2 days & nights of family fun, masses of music and fabulous food. Sponsored by fellow Marketing Stockport member Orbit Developments, 85 acts have signed up to provide 80 hours of live music over the weekend of
21st and 22nd June, attracting crowds from across the northwest to enjoy family-friendly festival fun without the
mud.
Entertainment for the whole family takes place throughout the day at Stockport Rugby Club in 5 marquees, transformed into music stages in the evening. Doors open 12 noon on Saturday 21st June with free car parking and Summer Breeze camping field for families; rom midday until 6pm on each day the Family Fun calendar provides fantastic entertainment for all the family. Music in the evenings feature national names while local bands are spotlighted on both Saturday and Sunday night. The packed line up, headlined by Toploader, Stooshe and The Mend includes acts such as The Rainband, Feud, Purge and fresh on the scene…Kazo.
As well as providing the perfect setting for a weekend of fun, Headlander will be supporting three charities – Millie’s Trust, OXJAM and War Child UK.
Tony Jones, managing director of headline sponsor Orbit Developments, said:
“As the biggest commercial landlord in Stockport we know that it is a fantastic place to work, live and do business. It’s great to support a high profile, family orientated event such as Headlander, which attracts more people into the Borough to see what great things it has to offer.”
The lead up to Headlander is equally exciting – with a Sportsman’s Dinner, DIVAs night and Millies’ Trust charity ball taking place from Wednesday 18th June.
