Stockport Council is encouraging residents to have their say on a number of proposals in areas such as transport, street maintenance and libraries.
The closing dates on Stockport Council’s current consultations range from 15th December 2018 to 25th January 2019 with further information available to residents by visiting www.stockport.gov.uk/haveyoursay
Some of the proposals come as the Council looks to bridge a funding gap of £47m over the next four years as part of its Medium Term Financial Plan, caused by available financial resources not being enough to deal with increased demand for Council services.
Councillor Alex Ganotis, Leader at Stockport Council, said: “We would like to encourage residents to get involved and have their say on proposed changes within a number of open and ongoing consultations.
“It’s important we get our proposals right for the people of Stockport, and your input is really important to help us do so. Please take a look at our ongoing consultations, and have your say on our future plans.”
