An online survey will help Stockport Council learn how residents and businesses want to use their online services.
Nearly two-thirds of people in Stockport use the internet regularly to bank, shop or keep in touch with friends and family.
A lot of local public services can also be accessed online and, as part of its Investing in Stockport programme, Stockport Council is investing in new technology to improve them.
The Council is asking residents to have their say on how they want to use online services and receive information in future, through an online survey. Other research will be carried out with those not already online.
Cllr Iain Roberts, Deputy Leader of Stockport Council said: “We realise that the way residents are accessing information about the Council is changing and we are responding to this by investing in new technologies to ensure we can offer better online services to our residents.
“We want to ensure that customers are the centre of this investment, so we would like to know how we can improve our online services, to gain a better understanding of how we can shape our digital offer for the future.”
The survey is available online at www.stockport.gov.uk/haveyoursay.
All Stockport libraries and Fred Perry House have computers with free internet access and free Wi-Fi for you to access the internet using your own computer, tablet or smartphone.
The closing date to complete the survey is Friday 29th April 2016.
