Find out how and when to apply to Stockport Local Fund
This new community fund has already supported 43 community groups and organisations in Stockport and there will soon be another opportunity to apply for funding.
We’re running a series of workshops where you can find out how and when to apply, where to get advice and support and what type of projects we’re looking for. There is no need to book – just turn up on the day.
Monday 23rd September 12 – 2pm Offerton Community Centre, SK2 5NX
Tuesday, 24th September 12 – 2pm Bridgehall Community Centre, SK3 8NR
Tuesday 1st October 1:30 – 3:30pm Heaton Norris Pavilion, SK4 1JA
Wednesday 9th October 10am – 12pm Brinnington Community Centre, SK5 8ER
You can also get involved with Sector Connector which provides opportunities to connect with likeminded groups and businesses.
Councillor Amanda Peers, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Neighbourhoods, said: “We are supporting individuals, groups and organisations, from our amazing, diverse communities across Stockport, to come together and make our neighbourhoods even better places to live in. I strongly encourage you to get involved with your community in whatever way you can.
“Look at our Stockport Local online directory to find out what’s happening in your area and how you can join in. And if you’ve a great idea for your neighbourhood, but you need help developing it, come along to one of our workshops.”
