The Holiday Inn Express Stockport is celebrating its first birthday today … and what a brilliant year it has been.
Since opening their doors at Stockport Exchange, staff have welcomed 46,406 guests; served 16,575 drinks; prepared 10,200 meals for visitors to enjoy and done all of this with a smile!
The warm welcome guests have received has seen the Holiday Inn Express Stockport hotel ranked as one of the best Holiday Inn Express hotels in the whole of Europe. Customer feedback and the hotel’s popularity has already far exceeded expectations, continuing to grow each and every day. Occupancy levels at the hotel have been very high since opening and have continued to build with the 115-bed hotel frequently booked to capacity.
New jobs in Stockport
As well as providing an ideal place to stay for visitors to Stockport, the hotel has also created over 30 new jobs. With jobs ranging from Housekeeping to Guest Services, the hotel has provided the opportunity for many local residents, including young people, to develop their skills whilst working within the hospitality sector.
The hotel also offers valuable work experience to local young adults with complex and severe learning difficulties who help with breakfast service each mid-week morning.
