
The Planning Officer recommends the application for refusal of the proposed 26,400 sq ft extension of the current site by the Strategic Planning Board on Wednesday, 28th August.
Other sites were asked to be considered including locations around Macclesfield and sites in Stockport including Metropolitan House in Cheadle Hulme, the vacant Toys R Us building at the Peel Centre and Water Street in Stockport.
Cheshire East’s planning committee will decide on the proposals at a meeting next week.
M&S at Merseyway in Stockport closed last year following the closure of other stores around the UK.
