Stockport based Hallidays have announced further growth through the acquisition of local accountancy practice Kevin Pitchford & Co.
Founder Kevin Pitchford is a trusted chartered accountant listed at the ICAEW Directory of Chartered Accountants.
Kevin, whose business was located at Europa Business Park on Bird Hall Lane, will join the Hallidays team run by director Anna Bennett, bringing with him a portfolio of over 120 small and medium clients.
Anna’s team work closely with SME’s helping their business owners to grow and develop their business. Specialisms within the team are in the academy sector and not for profit. Anna has worked with schools for many years and has advised them in the areas of capital projects, cashflow, budgeting and KPI measuring. Anna has overall responsibility for the delivery of our external audit service.
Anna Bennett, director (pictured above) said:
“We are delighted to officially welcome Kevin. Kevin has been closely linked with Hallidays for some time supporting us with our academy work and through our ‘Accountants Support Forum’, which supports sole practitioners so he was an excellent fit for Hallidays. I welcome the knowledge and expertise he brings to our team.”
Kevin Pitchford said:
“After much consideration, I recently made the decision to retire from full time work. I have considered the future of the practice with a view to merging with a local firm, who could offer a professional service, with the additional support that would be beneficial to both clients and myself.
“I have worked alongside Hallidays for a number of years and have benefitted from their expertise – more than just accountants – and input. I feel that they are an ideal choice to take over my practice.”
Earlier this year Paul Edmondson of Edmondson & Co in Hazel Grove, joined Hallidays and brought with him a portfolio of over 100 small and medium clients. Paul joined Hallidays team run by director Valerie Wain.
Hallidays was first set up by Charles Edward Halliday on 1st November 1843 at offices in King Street, Manchester and is now situated at Kings Reach, just off the M60.
