MyPlace in Preston, clients of Hallidays accountants in Stockport, have won Student Landlord of the Year in the Landlord and Lettings Awards last month beating nationwide competition.
The awards, first set up in 2009, aim to recognise and reward excellence and contribute to raising standards across the UK private rented sector.
MyPlace in Preston are a family run business established by husband and wife team, Paul and Madeleine Livesey. They have been running for over 20 years offering high quality private and student accommodation situated around The University of Central Lancashire campus and Preston city centre.
Unlike other private sector accommodation in Preston, they provide their tenants with a high level of service whilst remaining small enough to be caring and friendly. All properties are fitted out to a high standard and include a free weekly cleaning service. MyPlace are always prompt to address any issues and make sure tenants are comfortable in their homes. They even offer a pick-up service from university halls for students wishing to view their properties.
Hallidays Director, Paul Whitney, (pictured left) commented:
“It comes as absolutely no surprise that Paul and Maddy have achieved this award. MyPlace is truly a forward thinking, market leading student and shared accommodation provider. I recall student concerns about worn and stained carpets, mould and wondering whether the house would have a TV aerial… these days its high spec décor, flat screens, Sky TV, WiFi and Xboxes all the way! ”
Speaking about their relationship with Hallidays, Paul Livesey said:
“We have been with Paul at Hallidays right from the start over 20 years ago; they have been instrumental in the growth and success of MyPlace. If I ever have any issues I can trust Paul and his team to be on hand with support and guidance. We are absolutely thrilled to win this award. The competition was really tough, so this accolade is testament to the hard work and commitment of our great team. Winning has really spurred us on and we will continue to build on our expertise and deliver high quality levels of service across the private rented sector and, hopefully, be recognised for our achievements again next year.”
