Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) have announced the city-region’s first Digital Skills Day will take place on Friday 7th February.
The initiative is being launched by GMCA to excite people of all ages about digital skills, and highlight opportunities in the sector, which is seen as key to economic growth in the city-region.
Businesses are being encouraged to take part in Digital Skills Day by hosting events, such as a lunch-and-learn talks or workshops for staff. GMCA have asset pack available to download from their website, and are encouraging businesses to share their involvement on social media using the hashtag #GMDigitalSkillsDay.
Digital Skills Day will follow the launch of the Greater Manchester, setting out the city-region’s ambitions within tech, and ensuring greater inclusion and literacy in an evolving digital world.
