The Greater Manchester Congestion Survey is likely to result in one of the biggest surveys conducted in the region.
Greater Manchester has one of the busiest road and public transport networks in the country.
A study published this month identifies Greater Manchester as the second most congested region in the UK.
Many thousands of car journeys are made on the region’s roads every day, and one study has ranked Manchester as the most congested city in the UK outside London.
Motorways like the M60 orbital motorway, M56, M62, M602, M66, M67 and M6 are vital routes through the region, along with the many main roads that connect them such as the A580 East Lancs Road, the A57 Mancunian Way, the A627(M), the A56 and the A6.
Federation for Small Business – FSB – would like your views on how this affects your business, and what might be done to address the problem of congestion in our region.
They are particularly keen to identify ‘hotspots’ so please do think about your ‘daily grind’ and which parts of the road network are particularly bad, most of the time.
Take part in the Greater Manchester Congestion Survey HERE.
Please forward this onto your contacts to ensure its one of the biggest surveys of our regions’ roads.
Simon Edmondson from FSB said: “We will use the data to lobby the newly appointed Metro Mayor after the elections on May 4 to improve the situation.
“We will also discuss the results of this survey at a mayoral hustings Q&A event FSB is organising at MMU on March 30th. This is a one off business husting where YOU will be able to ask questions of the candidates.
“To attend the hustings as a guest of FSB click HERE. Your support is very much appreciated.”
