A North West based PR company is getting behind the region’s manufacturers with the Great British Marketing campaign.
Marketing agency, FIG, is doing its bit to support North West manufacturers, with the launch of its Great British Marketing campaign, designed to help manufacturing companies across the region to weather the tricky economic times ahead… and come out on top.
There have been conflicting reports on how the manufacturing sector is performing with Markit CIPS UK recently reporting that the UK manufacturing sector had recorded its fastest growth for three years. But, following the Office National Statistics latest figures on the growth of the UK economy, notes of caution have been included about the degree to which this growth can be sustained against a backdrop of Brexit, political uncertainty and market volatility.
Explained FIG’s managing director, Helen Duncan:
“For over 15 years, FIG has been working with North West manufacturers to help them to achieve their business goals, whatever the economic climate.
“Through thick and thin, we’ve supported manufacturing clients such as leading packaging manufacturers, Glossop Cartons and Clingfoil, both based in Stockport, enabling them not only to grow their businesses, but to increase market share, break into new overseas markets and win awards.
“In 2017, the threats to the manufacturing sector are many, but so too are the opportunities, and we felt the time was right to do our bit to help manufacturing companies across the North West not only to survive the volatile climate, but to thrive.”
The firm has produced a document, Your Guide to Lean Marketing, which offers manufacturers some fundamental marketing advice, such as taking care to be clear about their marketing objectives and to properly identify the resource they have available, along with a summary of the benefits of using a professional marketing agency.
On the results her company has achieved with FIG’s marketing support, Glossop Cartons’ sales director, Jacky Sidebottom-Every, said:
“Our profile in the industry has risen considerably since we started working with FIG, and consistent marketing is having a positive effect on our business.
“We’ve won several industry awards, and we are constantly in the business and trade press. It keeps our name at the forefront of the industry and reminds customers why they should be doing business with us rather than our competitors.”
Starting life in 1996 as copy writing and communications business, First Impression, FIG rebranded in 2012.
