A team from Gorvins Solicitors are running ’10 for Tash’ in the BIG Stockport 10K run, taking place on 15th September to fundraise for local charity Headway.
As part of the firm’s 2019 fundraising activity, five colleagues have joined together from across departments including Residential Property Conveyancing, Accounts, Commercial Property, Wills, Trusts & Probate and Corporate Commercial. They will be running the BIG Stockport 10K in memory of Tash, a loved friend and colleague, who sadly passed away on 30th September 2018 from a brain aneurysm.
Every year, Gorvins organises events and fundraisers, raising thousands of pounds to support both national and local charities. Previously these have included the Seashell Trust, MIND, St Anne’s Hospice and Cancer Research. For 2019 Headway and Epilepsy Action are Gorvins’ nominated charities.
Sue Westhead, Head of Marketing and Chair of the Gorvins Charities Committee said
“We fundraise regularly through ‘dress-down’ day donations and bake sales in the office. Additionally, our courageous employees take part in challenges in their spare time to raise even more funds for our chosen charities.
“This year we have already had teams take part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and Manchester Rough Runner as well as coordinate and organise a local charity concert, which was a great success raising over £1500 alone!”
