Stockport law firm, Gorvins Solicitors, has strengthened its commercial and private client teams with the arrival of six people.
Samantha Marcus, 36, from Manchester, joins as an associate solicitor in Commercial Property, having previously worked for DWF in Manchester.
Wills, Trusts & Probate has welcomed Andrew Platts, 24, from Manchester, who joins as an associate solicitor together with Danielle Hursthouse who joins as legal secretary to support the team.
However, it is the firm’s Residential Property team who have seen the largest influx of new talent; Sharon Kelly, 31, from Stalybridge, joins the National Panel Conveyancing team as associate solicitor. Samantha Shemilt and Claire Ryder have joined as case administrators in the conveyancing department.
The appointments follow Gorvins solid results in 2013, with a 7% year-on-year increase in fee income, and 15 new team members joining the firm during the past 12 months.
“2013 was a good year for the firm” explains Lorraine Lockie (left), managing partner at Gorvins.
“By recruiting talented individuals who have experience in fields complementing our existing portfolio, we have naturally strengthened our revenue streams.
“We have ambitious growth plans for the business over the next few years, and firmly believe the quality of all our people, will underpin our expansion and provision of the highest calibre of legal advice to clients.”
