Following the publication of a report on the GM Clean Air Plan consultation, Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is hosting a round table meeting for local businesses.
The consultation has been delayed until October 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The recent report explains the proposals for the consultation, including the funding to support upgrades to compliant vehicles.
There are also details of the introduction of the GM Clean Air Zone in Spring 2022 and the updated daily charges.??
The report also sets out detail on potential affected commercial vehicles, which could be liable to pay a daily charge to drive into the Clean Air Zone if they have high polluting engines.
In order to help explain the proposals, GMCA and TfGM are hosting a business round table on the Clean Air Plan ahead of the consultation and to hear initial thoughts from affected businesses, as well as to hear how best to ensure the city-region’s business community are aware of the plans.
Business round table meetings on the Clean Air Plan will take place using Microsoft Teams on:
- 2-3pm 2 September
- 3-4pm 3 September
Those wishing to attend should contact the engagement team at TfGM for further details and to receive an invite and link to join the meeting.
