Stockport brewed GINGER TOM has scooped a Bronze at the Australian International Beer Awards 2013!!
Competing with the best beers in the world at the Australian International Beer Awards 2013, Robinsons’ Ginger Tom demonstrated star quality by bringing home a bronze medal.
Now in its 21st year, the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA) is the pre-eminent showcase for premium beer and brewing excellence in the Asia Pacific region. The awards are co-ordinated annually by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) and the University of Ballarat and attract an extraordinary number of entries from both local and international breweries each year.
In 2013, the AIBA received record entries from more than 277 brewers from 35 countries. In excess of 1,490 beers from a range of styles were assessed by the expert panel of judges during one week of judging at Melbourne Showgrounds, an increase of 12 per cent on the previous year.
The judging panel was headed by chairman of the Craft Beer Industry Association, Brad Rogers along with 41 other judges from across the globe including Norway, Belgium, United States, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
The delicious ginger beer is being lapped up internationally by Russia, USA, Denmark, Japan, France, South Africa… in fact, Ginger Tom is proving to be a top cat all over the world, winning prestigious awards and gaining international recognition as ‘The World’s Best Herb and Spice Ale 2013’ at this year’s World Beer Awards.
