The owners of the Garam Massala Indian restaurant in Cheadle Hulme have launched their first ever sponsorship at Stockport County.
The restaurant has taken out a ground board at Edgeley Park, but this is just the latest stage of a long association with County. Garam Massala owners Saleem and Bazlur were looking after players such as Kevin Francis and Neil Edwards as far back as the 1980s.
Commercial Manager Simon Dawson said:
Despite not being able to attend many games because of their work commitments, they have always found time to support the club, including rewarding the players for their achievements throughout the decades.”
The Garam Massala has been proudly serving the people of Cheadle Hulme for 25 years and has become a key part of the local community. The restaurant has recently introduced a 20% NHS staff discount between Mondays and Thursdays, and has recently allowed customers to bring their own drinks to reduce the cost of dining out.
Simon added:
We are delighted to welcome them into our County family as a sponsor, courtesy of their stadium sign at the Cheadle End.”
The club recommends customers mention they are County fans when you dine at the Garam Massala to be sure you receive a very warm welcome.
