Birchall Foodservice, a leading Lancashire catering wholesaler, is flourishing after moving to new its new site. Having outgrown its Hapton headquarters, the companyhas relocated to a £3 million facility at Burnley Bridge Business Park with funding support from Yorkshire Bank.
Since the move, the family-run firm has seen continued expansion of its offering which now includes a butchery department and training and exhibition centre and around 100 guests, including customers and suppliers, attended an open day at the new headquarters.
One of the guests on the day, John Shaw, owner of Beeches Butchers in Barrowford, commented:
“It’s so impressive and there’s lots of room for further expansion. The whole place was spotlessly clean and the fridges and freezers were massive.”
Justin Birchall, Managing Director of Birchall Foodservice, said:
“Moving to Burnley Bridge has allowed us to achieve a number of our growth targets and plan for further expansion. The move means we can double our capacity, creating new jobs and boosting productivity.
“We are developing new sales and product strategies including employing a development chef for the newly completed development kitchen.
