
A flood warning has been issued regarding the Goyt, Tame and Mersey rivers
- River Goyt from Marple Dale to Offerton
- River Goyt at Marple Bridge
The River Mersey is already high through Stockport and may cause flooding around Portwood and Brinksway later today and tonight.
Obviously the weather and local topography can affect local conditions, but please be aware of this potential flooding risk.
Businesses are advised as a precaution to move valuables to a higher level (including IT and key paperwork), switch off electricals and don’t put yourselves or others at any risk.
