Local commercial property specialists, Fairhurst Buckley, achieved completions on four property deals in Stockport within the first two weeks of their launch.
In spite of current difficult trading conditions in the commercial property sector, the new business has successfully let a retail premises in Hazel Grove and two office suites in Edgeley and the Town Centre of 620 and 621 sq ft respectively. Fairhurst Buckley also saw a completion on the sale of an 8000 sq ft warehouse unit in Cheadle.
Director, David Buckley commented:
Despite the challenging times for us all, we have been able to keep most transactions moving, supported by the co-operation of our clients and their respective solicitors. During the same two-week period, we also agreed terms on 4 new deals in Stockport, and it’s certainly very encouraging to see a ‘can-do’ attitude within the local business community, albeit we are all doing things in a different way, remaining mindful of the prevailing government guidelines.”
Fairhurst Buckley are the largest independent surveying and agency practice in Stockport, following the successful merger of surveyors Fairhurst Estates and commercial property agents Buckley Commercial in March 2020. The two firms have been trading since 2002 and 1995 respectively.
The new business aims to take advantage of the groundswell in activity in the Stockport commercial property market, with the borough catching the eye of investors, and new businesses choosing to relocate to the town for their Northern bases.
Commenting on the merger, David Buckley added:
Stockport is very much on an upward trajectory and, as this is our home, we are looking forward to playing an even bigger part in the town’s ongoing success and development, by providing a broader range of property related services, locally.”
