Fancy a spot of ethical Christmas shopping? Well you can grab your chance on Saturday 24 November from 10.30am-3.30pm, as the Stockport Fairtrade Group will be hosting a Fairtrade Christmas Fair at the Guildhall, 169 Wellington Road South, Stockport SK1 3UA.
There will be over 20 Fairtrade stalls with lots on offer for all the family. Entrance is FREE, and there will be a wide range of fairly traded items to buy, musical entertainment, children’s activities, a raffle, and refreshments.
Stockport is a certified Fairtrade borough and the Council is proud to support Fairtrade. By attending this event, people can also show their support for the Fairtrade campaign.
Councillor Elise Wilson, Cabinet Member for Reform & Governance at Stockport Council, said:
“With Christmas just around the corner, this is a fantastic opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done early. There will be plenty of gift ideas on offer, and all proceeds will go towards a superb cause supporting disadvantaged workers and local communities in developing countries”.
