Manchester Airport is giving visitors the chance to enjoy a Christmas dinner at its Runway Visitor Park beneath the wings of its iconic Concorde Alpha Charlie.
The dinner on Sunday 5th December will be serving up a festive treat for guests, with turkey and all the trimmings under the second-fastest aircraft to take to the sky after Santa’s sleigh. Diners will also be given the chance to tour the iconic aircraft and witness its famous nose droop as a finishing flourish to the occasion.
Doors will open at 12:00 with guests receiving their choice of welcome drink from a glass of prosecco, a bottle of beer or soft drink.
Dinner will be served buffet-style, with vegan options available, and there will be a bar available to purchase drinks.
The afternoon will also feature live entertainment from The Sensational Soprano Gemma Ashley, and festive songs performed by Voices from Wilmslow High School. Sale Salvation Army will also be playing Christmas Carols to entertain guests at the Runway Visitor Park.
Robert Hassard, Manager of the Runway Visitor Park, said:
“After a difficult couple of years for the airport and our neighbouring communities, we are delighted to be able to bring people together once more to celebrate the festive season at the RVP.
“This will be a truly memorable occasion for diners, with fantastic performances and a unique setting to get them well and truly into the festive spirit.
“We expect this event to prove incredibly popular, so we encourage anyone who is interested to book now to avoid disappointment.”
Guests can book today through the Runway Visitor Park’s website.
