Applications have opened for SMEs in Greater Manchester to apply for a grant of up to £12,500 to make energy efficiency improvements.
Small businesses in Greater Manchester can access up to 50% of the capital needed to invest in the energy efficiency to help companies meet environmental goals, and mange potential increased costs of electricity and heating in the approach to winter, and due to varying shift patterns and increased ventilation due to efforts to mitigate the risk of Covid-19 transmission in the workplace.
Grants are being delivered by the Business Growth Hub, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, ranging from £1000 to £12,500. Funding is being offered on a first-come first-served basis, with energy efficiency initiatives covered by the grant scheme including:
- LED lighting systems for business premises
- heating equipment upgrades
- replacement drives or motors
- process efficiency investments
Energy Efficiency Grants are available to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Greater Manchester subject to business and project eligibility and the scale of CO2e savings expected from the project.
