The annual Stockport Jobs Fair is taking place on 25th September at Stockport Town Hall and leading local businesses – large and small – are invited to take part.
The event, organised in partnership by Stockport Council and Jobcentre Plus, provides businesses with an opportunity to reach a wide range of potential employees.
It’s free for both exhibitors and attendees and this year’s fair is expected to attract hundreds of job seekers.
Last year’s event was a great success, involving 40 local employers, including the Light Cinema, Manchester Airport Group, Pizza Express and Sky and attracting over 700 job seekers.
If your business is recruiting and you’re interested in participating in this year’s event, please email stockport.ea@dwp.gsi.gov.uk
Councillor Kate Butler, Cabinet Member for Economy and Regeneration at Stockport Council, said:
“Stockport Jobs Fair has been a great success in the past few years, with thriving local businesses being able to recruit from the amazing pool of talent we have in the borough. I’d encourage employers to take part in the jobs fair, as I’m sure they’ll be able to fill their vacancies with the best local talent.”
