Founders and organisers, Clarke Nicklin Chartered Accountants, have announced that after the success of the 10-year anniversary of the awards last year in September, the 2022 awards will be held at Edgeley Park for the second consecutive year.
Noted as one of the most historic sports stadiums in the country, Edgeley Park has been the place of many memorable moments for generations of County fans and the local community. In 2021, the event space underwent an impressive refurbishment, and holds a maximum capacity of up to 800 guests, making it the largest event space in the Stockport area.
Managing Partner of Clarke Nicklin, Andrew Baggott, said:
“We were very fortunate to have been able to enjoy our 10th anniversary of the awards last year, after cancelling our 2020 awards due to COVID. But we’re even more excited about another year of the awards and being able to continue to celebrate all the fantastic businesses in the Borough. We very much look forward to returning to Edgeley Park again later this year.”
Richard Simkin, Director of Operations at Stockport County and Edgeley Park commented:
“It has been great to see the process of the refurbishment of Edgeley Park turn into the modern event space it is today, ready to be used for many more events. After the success of hosting last year’s awards, we’re excited to be hosts again this year.”
Charity Partner applications for the 2022 awards will open in February, and interested parties should contact Clarke Nicklin Marketing Executive Alice Atkinson for further details. The 2021 awards held in September raised over £3000 for its two charity partners, Smart Works GM and the Stockport NHS Charity.
