easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today announced it will introduce new flights connecting the North-West with Madeira from Manchester Airport.
The new route to Funchal, Madeira will launch in February 2015 and will operate twice per week on Mondays and Saturdays. Flights to Funchal went on sale this morning at www.easyJet.com with fares starting from £35.99 per person.
easyJet will operate the flights using a 180 seater Airbus A320 and expects the Portuguese Island’s combination of culture and affordable accommodation to attract around 14,000 visitors during the first 12 months.
Funchal is easyJet’s 35th destination from Manchester Airport where the airline now employs over 320 staff and bases eight permanent aircraft.
