Stockport Homes Group have won the titles of both Landlord of the Year and Best Digital Inclusion Initiative awards at this year’s Northern Housing Awards. The winners were announced at a ceremony at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on 16 May.
These awards promote and celebrate innovative affordable housing providers, projects and services in the North that are helping to create great communities where people love to live.
Stockport Homes won the Landlord of the Year award for its passion in delivering services that go far beyond being a traditional landlord. From supporting customers with financial advice to delivering recruitment courses, it continues to strive towards its mission of “One team, transforming lives.”
The award for Best Digital Inclusion Initiative was won for the partnership between Stockport Homes and Starting Point Community Learning and their work towards tackling digital and social exclusion in communities, providing equipment, trainers and drop-in sessions.
Robin Burman, Chair of Stockport Homes’ Board said, “To be the winners of two categories is a great achievement and we are extremely proud to be making such a positive contribution to Stockport’s residents and the local community. To be recognised as Landlord of the Year is especially a great testimony to the fantastic work of our team and the focus we put on our customers.”
