DJS Research Ltd are pleased to announce that Kieran Heald has been promoted to IT Administrator following the successful completion of his apprenticeship.
Kieran started with DJS Research in May 2012 and studied at Stockport College for one day each week.
Following his promotion, Kieran has developed skills in and is responsible for providing daily IT support to more than 100 on- and off-site staff, maintaining IT equipment, delivering formal staff training, managing daily off-site data backups and ensuring the agency is technologically sound and up to date.
Kieran commented:
“I have really enjoyed my apprenticeship, and am looking forward
to continuing to develop my skills at DJS Research Ltd in a full-time
role. Even in the short time I’ve been here, the company’s IT
requirement s have increased dramatically, and I’m excited about
what the future has to hold – both in terms of the systems and
software we utilise, but also in terms of the wider business and the
direction it’s taking.”
Kieran is the first person at the northern agency to move from an
apprenticeship to a full-time role, although the company is always
keen to take on promising apprentices and has been commended
by the National Apprenticeship Service for doing so.
Elysha King is also nearing the end of her AAT-accredited
accounting apprenticeship, having previously been involved in the
Business and Administration side of the company.
Matthew Coulling, Operations Director, who has managed Kieran for the duration of his placement, had the following to say;
“I’m really pleased that Kieran has opted to stay on at DJS Research full-time. He’s been a real asset to the company, and it’s great to see the apprenticeship scheme we set up a couple of years ago starting to bear fruit. It’s another example of what we’re about; developing young, local talent and providing individuals with jobs and careers. Congratulations to Kieran and I’m sure he’ll continue to excel.”
