Midshire’s Desktop Monster and its lovable mascot Brian stole the show at the Talk of Manchester Business Awards – TOMs 2016 – taking home the award for Best Technology Product.
Desktop Monster was launched in 2014 to provide the perfect IT solution for organisations in any industry.
Desktop Monster is a hosted desktop solution that uses innovative cloud technology to store data on UK soil, meaning it can be accessed securely at any time. The fact that data is hosted in the UK gives companies complete peace of mind as precious files can never be lost, stolen, or accessed by unauthorised entities – a preferred solution for any organisation that needs to secure its business data including legal, finance and accountancy firms.
Julian Stafford, Managing Director of Midshire, who developed the product expressed his excitement: “I really cannot believe that the product has achieved so much in such a short space of time! We knew we had seen a gap in the market, and had worked hard to develop a solution that not only utilises the very latest technology and infrastructure, but that offers customers true value for money.
“We know there is nothing else like it on the market and with this win, Desktop Monster has clearly shown that many people see and value it as a necessary and leading edge product, which I believe is truly scalable to any business size”
Desktop Monster also eliminates the need to invest in expensive server infrastructure, office hardware and IT support contracts, saving an organisation large sums of money and making it an ideal choice for business start ups and SMEs.
The cost is a license per user per month and can be scaled up accordingly as the business grows, giving customers control over their IT budget and forecasting.
The hosted desktop can be accessed on any internet enabled device, making collaborative working from any location, easier than ever.
Desktop Monster was created from the ground up by Midshire, who specialise in office technology solutions, including the installation and servicing of office IT equipment such as photocopiers, printers, telecommunication systems and interactive screens. Midshire employs over 250 employees across its four regional offices who currently service 12,000 UK customer installations.
Midshire also impressively came away with more silverware, being named Best SME Support Company, making it two in total for the company.
The TOMS were hosted by The Boardroom, an exclusive social network for business owners and senior decision makers, and were held at the Manchester Mercure Piccadilly Hotel, catering to 500 of Manchester’s top business people!
The winners were decided by a public vote and took place on the 1st of December.
