South Manchester-based agency Dawn is among major global names shortlisted for the Creativepool Annual 2017.
As an industry network set up to connect brands, agencies and individuals through the creative work they have collaborated on, Creativepool’s Annual recognises standout projects.
Dawn Creative is shortlisted in the direct mail category for its heat sensitive DM piece developed for its client Zen Internet
The DM piece showcases the exceptional level of service customers can expect from interacting with the brand.
The creative agency fulfilled the client brief by developing a direct mail in the form of a screen printed and block foiled box housing an eco-friendly iPad.
A mock screen with an outline of a handprint invited people to press and expose heat sensitive ink revealing a personalised message from the sender at Zen.
The direct mail piece also encouraged the recipient to visit a bespoke microsite with video content and a call to action inviting them to meet their Zen business contact at a local coffee house using a pre-coded Google map.
Based in Cheadle Hulme, Dawn is a brand, design, digital and motion agency headed up by David O’Hearns, with a client roster that includes Zen Internet, Travel Counsellors, Amplifon, Cyprotex and Show Business Interiors.
The Creativepool shortlist is selected by a panel of 165 leading judges from 22 countries, from both agency and client side and includes representatives from companies such as Bloomberg, Facebook, Getty, Ogilvy, Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Commenting on making the shortlist, David O’Hearns said:
“We’re really proud of this recognition as it reinforces our credentials as ‘ones to watch’ in the regional and national creative scene. Our DM piece challenged the traditional boundaries of print with an innovative approach to convey Zen Internet’s core brand values and was very well received.”
