An internal re-brand at Dawn Creative has landed them a place in the new Palette 08 Iridescent book by Victionary.
They feature alongside some world renowned creative studios including Pentagram, Anagrama and Design Ranch.
The eighth edition of the Palette series features a variety of work focusing on the use of holographic and iridescent materials within graphic and packaging design. There’s also some great foiling and finish techniques on the book itself making it a great addition to anyone’s collection.
The rebrand at Dawn Creative involved the creation of a ‘DC’ logo marque using the form of a rotated sunrise to make up the letters. Their logo type is tweaked with 18 degree angles which is the point at which the sun rises at Dawn. A living gradient was borne out of their newly created colour palette, mimicking the change from dark to light as Dawn breaks. To reproduce this effect on their printed assets they used a holographic foil on luxurious GF Smith Colourplan stock which is ever changing according the angle and light that falls upon it.
David O’Hearns, Creative Director at Dawn Creative remarked on their inclusion in the book:
“It’s an honour to be featured amongst some truly great studios and be acknowledged for the high standard of our creative work, something we pride ourselves on always delivering to our clients. We love to go the extra mile and give some real meaning in everything that we do, and our internal rebrand was a great opportunity to showcase this.”
