Viaduct Housing Partnership, part of the Stockport Homes Group, have released 7 shared ownership apartments for sale in the former Tatton Cinema building in Gatley.
The cinema has been closed for almost 20 years, but has been renovated by Viaduct Housing and Rowlinson Construction to convert the art deco building into affordable homes. Tatton Cinema was built in the 1930s, originally as a theatre housing an 18-foot stage, six dressing rooms and restaurant before becoming a cinema in 1971. The original art deco style façade of the building has been retained in the conversion.
The apartments at Tatton Cinema were released on Tuesday 4th February and can be reserved on a by first-time buyers by providing the appropriate ID and financial documents detailed on the Viaduct Housing website. Applicants will also be shortlisted based on priority criteria detailed by the Help to Buy scheme, as well as being subject to fraud and finance checks.
The 2 bedroom apartments are priced between £88,750 and £107,500. They are being sold through a 50% shared ownership scheme, and range from 63.8 to 90 m2. Other features at the Tatton Cinema scheme include:
