A contractor, specialising in office fit-outs and commercial build projects, has purchased Watson House on Waterloo Road in Stockport town centre for its new head office.
TMT Group, who have previously completed interiors projects on Arndale House in Manchester city centre and Exchange Quay in Salford, purchased the property for around £550,000. The commercial contractor now has relocated to the property from Romiley following a substantial refurbishment, investing a further £300,000 in the 4,289 sq ft office building.
TMT’s Managing director, Tom Traynor, said of the move to the new premises:
“The feedback from our client base has been extremely positive and the impact this has had on staff morale, interaction and motivation has been the most pleasing result.”
David Thwaites, of Altrincham-based Thwaites Real Estate who acted for TMT, said:
“Although several buildings further afield were considered there aren’t many opportunities to purchase such a prominent office building within Stockport town centre.
“TMT have done a fantastic job on the fit out and it provides a great showcase for what they can do.”
