A training school to help companies create and manage a content pipeline is set to become reality this September.
The concept was unveiled yesterday at a business workshop by Souter PR and has been warmly received by businesses struggling to get effective content marketing programmes off the ground.
The brainchild of experienced PR professional Sue Souter, the Content Academy will an add an important coaching arm to the main consultancy business which employs six across its Manchester and Newcastle offices.
Providing courses to help companies better target news and opinion into local and regional media and upskilling firms to become their own publishers is central to the Academy.
Sue explains:
“Paul Harrison, Editor of the Stockport Express has 80 pages a week to fill and only a fraction of the reporters he had 10 years ago. That represents a massive opportunity for local businesses. And with the proliferation of digital channels firms can and must become their own publishers and build endorsing communities around them. Many firms are doing this without strategy and without good writing skills so we aim to change all that.”
There is a Content Academy Linked IN Group and Sue is asking people to join the group where she will be posting updates and info ahead of a September go live date.
