Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey is proposing to build 160 new homes in Hazel Grove, and is inviting local residents to comment on plans.
The developer is currently preparing an outline planning application for the scheme on a site south of Jacksons Lane. The proposed development will provide a variety of new homes, with 50 per cent designated as affordable housing, and create new public open space, including new recreational spaces and a play area.
Public consultation on the plans will run from Wednesday 9th July to Thursday 31st July, with details of proposals published on the Taylor Wimpey website. A public exhibition event will also give local residents the chance to speak to members of the project team and take place at Brookdale Club and Theatre, Bramhall, on Wednesday 9th July between 3pm and 7pm.
Brigid Edwards, Senior Strategic Land & Planning Manager at Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said:
“Collating the views of local residents is an essential part of our development process, and we’re keen to gather as much feedback as we can from residents about our plans for a new community in Hazel Grove.
“We understand that not everyone will be able to attend the public exhibition event, so we will be uploading a digital version of the exhibition boards to our consultation website, so everyone can view and review the proposals at their convenience. We look forward to showcasing our plans in due course.”
Feedback from members of the local community will help to shape the outline planning application before it is submitted to Stockport Council in Summer 2025.
