Beechwood Cancer Care, the independent Stockport based charity provides free support services to cancer patients, their carers and families from the north west of England and is encouraging everyone to celebrate Christmas with a conscience this year.
The services are delivered by nurses and fully trained therapists. Though grants from the local Health Authority are made available to Beechwood Cancer Care, it is not enough and statistics show that an extra £1,000 per day is needed to ensure that the services offered to cancer patients can continue.
The Deck the Balls event, taking place at The Principal on Saturday the 2nd of December from 7PM until late, is hosted by Key 103’s Mike Toolan. An evening that promises to be fantastic with a three course meal and a range of entertainment from photo booth to disco, should not be missed.
This year, Beechwood Cancer Care are encouraging the north west of England to celebrate Christmas with a conscience and buy Tables of 10 for £500. Its the perfect opportunity to celebrate the end of the year with colleagues and help support a service that enables cancer patients to see in their next Christmases.
Earlier this year we reported about the previous event in March, where Beechwood Cancer Care hosted a Midsummer Night’s Dream themed Ladies Lunch and Fashion Show event which raised £35,000.
Fundraising manager Angela Gray said,
“It was a fantastic day of amazing food, fashion, entertainment and inspirational stories. We are delighted with the amount of money raised at the event and would like to thank everyone for their support”
The hope is that this year’s Christmas with a conscience can compete and raise even more funds for the phenomenal charity.
